@TexRdnec
Saved me some cash on some new work boots that I needed.
Thanks!

also gonna repost this 18650 battery deal.  somebody earlier wondered if they were worth a shit or not.  well zhukov bought some and had one of those fancy battery analyzer doohickies.  his sample of 4 showed 3448, 3477, 3460 and 3451 so yeah, these batteries are legit and a hell of a deal at $5

i can also report that they are not too wide and work great in iray thermal devices

https://www.18650batterystore.com/collections/18650-batteries/products/epoch-18650-3500mah-10a-protected-button-top-battery

I would have ordered but the extra length is a concern for me for my torches.

I have a few devices that need the 18650s with the button, and others that only work with buttonless 18650s. Need to see how many of my lights, lasers, etc take the button top batteries before picking up a half dozen of these.

Did anyone else buy an OD green Nightstick weapon light listed in the OP? I got mine today and it looks brown to me. Not even a hint of green. The box and light are labeled TWM-30f which is supposed to be OD Green. If you bought one how does it look? I know OD green always varies, but I was expecting it to be sort of green at least. Thanks.

Besides, your flashlights should have a spring to accommodate any small variation in length.

That sounds reassuring.  Maybe I will take a chance on a few of these.  Most of my lights are Fenix.

I have multiple Fenix lights and I have succumbed to only buying Fenix batteries based on the length. I was using Sony batteries and others and found that they would stop working in the light after a few months of use due to the positive side getting slightly pushed in(not visible to the eye) and the connection would fail.

@zoe17

As mentioned, the Tor Mini is an IR laser, not a flashlight. That said, what does "rifle use" mean to you? Range you're wanting to be able to see stuff with this IR light and NODs? Assuming it's going to be paired up with an IR laser, or just wanting to add some illumination while you're hiking around? Also, what's your price range?

Something that gives you a floody throw to 50yds or is useable indoors is going to be different animal than a Kiji 3deg/10deg or Luna that'll let you illuminate something hundreds of yards away.

I bought the Tor-mini last week. I am wanting the IR for general use out to say 50-100 yards for critter control. I know I would be passive if a SHTF event.

I would vote for the EX IR250 head from Arisaka for that yardage.
It's 10% off on their website currently.
Just pick the head, body, tailcap and mount and you're GTG.

Even at 40% off they're too expensive.

We have a Dane and going from the 48" to the 54" is $1199 to $3999 lol.

That sounds suspect to me. I’ve had a Panasonic in my fenix headlamp for a year or two now. Gets charged a couple of times a week.  No issues.

Would an aluminum foil spacer restore the connection on the “short” batteries?

Go hunt down a Surefire M600V. Not the best white or IR light, but it'll give you both by just twisting the front bezel between white/off/IR.

You're going to have to do two separate movements to turn on your illum and Tor Mini anyway, and the SF clicky tailcaps or tape switches are pretty ubiquitous and rugged.

Sorry, but I'm no help on any places that have an M600V on sale, but try ALLTHELUMENS in as many coupon code slots as you can and see if it'll work (jk)

ETA: or do the Arisaka thing via the link Nobody69s posted up thread.

that said, any cheaper Multicurve plates out there these days? Don't need them to be my main stuff but makes sense to work out in actual plates rather than pay about the same price for weighted versions that aren't bulletproof.
