I have a lightly used (less than 100 rounds) Adams Arms Gas Piston Conversion Retrofit Kit carbine length with .750" Single Rail gas block. Has no appreciable wear, the only place showing any use is the strike face of the bolt carrier where the drive rod impacts.
I'm sure most here are already familiar with piston systems, but for the FNG's:
The AA piston system keeps gas blowback out of the receiver and magazines reducing cleaning intervals. It also keeps the receiver cool, keeps gas blowback out of your face and eyes, puts hair on your chest, and gives you the smug satisfaction of having a different operating system (Like Linux users). The gas system is adjustable so you can turn the gas down for use with a suppressor or high pressure ammunition such as Hornady Superformance. You can also turn the gas completely off for single shot operation.
Compatible with 223 Remington / 5.56x45mm NATO, 6.5 Grendel (6.5x38mm), 6.8x43mm Remington SPC, and 5.45x39mm calibers. You may need to open up the barrel gas port if using the kit with calibers that have a diferent pressure curve such as 7.62x39mm or .300 Blackout.
Operating Rod / Drive Rod with return spring and bushing
Upper Receiver Bushing
modified handguard cap
One piece bolt carrier integral piston strike face and skis to prevent carrier tilt
The only reason I am selling is I want a AA Midlength lightweight piston conversion kit to replace it with. I will sell my kit for $285 shipped, or trade for an AA midlength piston conversion kit. I would prefer the lightweight version but will be OK with the single rail version. If you have a midlength operating rod you want to trade for my carbine length rod, I'll be happy with as well. No other trades wanted.
