to be honest, i think that it will continue without change or be even worse. you can partially thank the media for portraying and blatantly lying about how assault weapons can "spray a room full of bullets in seconds." it's all about the sensationalism. nobody cares about how many lives were saved with a firearm. the media knows the general public loves drama and carnage, even if it's drummed up and bordering on completely false, and then those in the government who feel we aren't responsible enough to have them. also, too many people have their "precious pre-bans" that are sold at incredibly inflated prices. that being said, too many folks will lose their investments, etc. and remember, money talks, bull doody walks. the gun owners want their rights unrestricted... to a point. but i believe greed will be the victor in this battle as is usually the case. still, i would hold out until next year. i could and hope to be wrong in this matter. regardless of what i speculate what may happen, i will still do my part in trying to sunset it, with contributions, petition, voting, etc. - keep up the good fight guys/gals because it's not just a matter of crossing your fingers and hoping. just my two cents. lastly, i think this belongs in the general discussion section - this has nothing to do with feedback. thanks.
