Negative feedback for user W-W. I'll make this as detailed but short as possible:
He offered to trade a 1911 for a Walther pistol of mine, and we talked back and forth for the past week working out the details. He e-mailed me today saying "We have a deal", so I met with my FFL today to discuss it and do the necessary papers.
Well, he e-mailed me again this evening, after all of this, and stated that his "wife informed him of some costs", so he would have to sell the Sistema instead of trade it. He said, "One of my friends just offered me $***.00 and I just couldn't turn it down."
I say, once you've sealed a deal you'll follow through with it if you're a man of your word. You don't back out of the deal because someone offered you money - someone can't buy a product that's not available anymore!
I'm tired of putting a lot of work and time into a deal and then having the guy back out with some puny excuse. I think other sellers feel the same way about all the buyers & traders that put us through a hassle for nothing.
His reply to all this was, "That's fine. I apologized, I can do no more."
If you make a deal, GO THROUGH WITH IT!
