Many smiths are competent, and even fewer can blend function with perfect craftsmenship. Of those few that can, there are a select group that also have an artistic sense that sets them apart. Chuck Rogers has been my idol, so to speak, for many years now. There are very few that have his ability, and even fewer with his sense of style and function. In my opinion, he is the master.
Just as a side note, I sent an e-mail to Chuck asking if he built this gun. I have not heard back from him, but I would suppose he's a busy man, and it's not even any of my business.
Warren, I hope you don't mind me posting here. I'm not saying it's a bona fide Chuck Rogers gun. What I do know is this. I've seen the gun in person, and it's awesome. I also spoke to the original owner of the gun before Warren bought it. He told me he had it built by Chuck Rogers. My guess is that he was telling the truth. One easy way to verify this would be to see if the serial number matches, as it's visible in the link. Just a thought, Warren, since Mr. Rogers' guns are in high demand.
