Well I was on hiatus for awhile but am back up and running again. I was having a lot of problems with bad or unsorted brass. So I decided to take a break for a bit. I have been receiving a lot of emails inquiring about this service so I decided to get back at it. I am trying to keep turnaround as quick as possible. As always, quality service is what you'll get. Thanks!!!
It seems that the demand/need for brass processing is out there so I have decided to provide this service for .223/5.56. It will include, tumbling, decapping, swaging the crimp, sizing, and trimming to length. All this for $30.00 per 1000 cases plus $10.00 return shipping for 2000 cases. My turnaround time will ideally be a week.
Please IM me or email me at ozzy1038 at aol.com with questions or comments.
I will accept money orders and cashiers checks
I will do them in batches of 500 for $20.00, 1000 for $30.00, 2000 for $60.00 and so on.
This service does not include case inspection, as it would lengthen turnaround time substantially.
*** It is also imperative that you make sure and send boxer primed cases. Do not send berdan primed cases. These will destroy my decapping pin. So please make sure and send boxer only. Any breakage of the decapping pin due to a berdan primed case will have to be absorbed by that customer. Thanks for your understanding.
Also please note that I am NOT inspecting cases, as it would make it too cost/time prohibitive for me. I do however discard damaged and unusable cases as I see them. Please make sure to inspect your cases.
Due to the inherent risk associated with reloading I cannot accept any liablity in any possible injury to person or damage to a firearm resulting from the use of brass processed by me in a reloaded cartridge. It is up to you to inspect your cases and make sure they are safe to load. By using my service you acknowledge this and hold
me free and clear of any liability.
Thanks in advance!
For those sending me brass please note that I am not processing Igman brass.
ETA 12/13/07 I have been receiving a lot of IK headstamps lately. These are Igman and they are Bosnian. These are berdan primed and are causing lots of problems. I have also been receiving a fair amount of mixed brass and even brass containg rocks which can destroy my dies. I ask that the brass be sorted beforehand as I do not provide this service. I could do it, but the cost would raise exponentialy. Due to the all the problems and time it is taking me to pick them out and look for them I am now raising the price to $30.00 per thousand. It has affected my turnaround time and down time. I still believe this to be a good value considering the feedback I have received from people. Thanks for your understanding.
Well I hate to do this but from this point on I will only be able to accept brass of the following headstamps:
Anything Black Hills or Ultramax
Basically any cartridge of domestic manufacture. There has been an extensive amount of berdan primed brass and brass containing undersized flashholes lately that it has caused delays in completing orders.
I figure by limiting it to these headstamps that will eliminate the majority of problems.
I rely on my customers to sort their own brass to keep turnaround as quick as possible, but I can tell by some of it that it is just range pickup brass because of the rocks and the quantities of brass of various calibers mixed in as well as the berdan primed brass.
