This member contacted me about trading his #19S for my new TA51. I said sure.

Email communication was so so with him, but not a big deal to feel concerned.

Then I received an email stating that he will ship his mount after I ship mine with some sort of tracking. This nerved me a bit for several reasons. First he never mentioned his screen name so I could checkout his feedback (he could have easily checked mine @ +102). Secondly, he initiated the trade!

I sent him and email saying I was a bit taken back at first and that I needed his screen name to check his feedback (a whopping +1). He replies with his screen name and signs the email as:

Andy SXXXX, TSgt, USAF
Security Forces Supervisor

He never did that before.

Being the person I am, I go ahead and send the mount USPS Priority w/ DC figuring he is .mil and holds honor to high regard. Well I was wrong, here is what he sent me today:

Hello Patrick,
I know the feeling about lossing something in the mail. I wanted to get back to you and let you know. I had someone trade me yesterday the mount for mine locally. When your package gets here I'll return ship it back to you via confirmation #. Sorry I couldn't do business with you but I didn't realize it would go so quick. Hopefully, we will be able to do business in the future.

Sure he is being polite, but he re-nigged on a deal, period! This trade agreement has been going on for a week and all the sudden the mount get traded locally. I call bullshit! He knew he made a deal with me. Military or not, he needs a -1 next to his name, even if I get my mount back. If I do not get my mount back I want him banned for down right theft.

WTF?? he had an agreement with you, then traded it out from under you locally? I say again, WTF?

I'm very interested in hearing his side of the story, but unless he has something very eloquent and compelling to say, I'm proposing a -1 and ban.

I dont know if there is anything that can be said for treating someone that way, but I will wait for him to come forward and tell his side.

I don't think so either, but I'm trying to stay open-minded and give the guy a marginal benefit of the doubt that perhaps there's a very compelling reason why he yanked the trade out from under 223Rem knowing that the trade goods were already in transit...like perhaps the local trade was done under extreme coercion.

What is the guys screen name (RUTxn2?) as I searched the one at the top of the thread and came up with no posts in 3 months? I don't like to do business with anyone who doesn't have some presence on the board. Back out on a deal is a negative for sure, if he doesn't answer here he should be banned.

Well, the mount arrived at his address today per Delivery Confirmation at the USPS website. Let's see if it gets back........

I received my mount back today. It took him over a week to return it after I finally got a response from him asking where is my mount. It also came back in different packaging so he obviously opened it up. WTF? Andy still deserves a -1 next to his name, more so after Mak posted a similar dealing of his.

When you read that link he mentions that he is a police officer and too busy to follow through with deals I guess.
