Well, this is, regrettably, my first negative feedback thread. As much as I've tried to refrain from posting, I feel like I need to now.
I purchased a barrel from 556ammo
back around the 20th of March. Here
is the ad. Upon receiving it the first week of April, I noticed that there was a ring of parkerizing around the inside of the chamber. A friend of mine bought one, too, and his was worse. Here
is what I am talking about. I posted here on Arfcom asking about it and I emailed some knowledgeable Colt people to see if this was normal. The general consensus was that it was not. I felt at that point that I had gotten some sort of QC reject and I was disappointed that it wasn't mentioned in the ad. I emailed the seller on April 17th and informed him of the issue and that I would be returning the barrel for a refund. He replied that the barrels were new and fully chromed, but to send it back if I didn't like it. I shipped the barrel on April 19th. On April 30th, I sent a follow-up email to see if the barrel had made it back and to see if my refund was on it's way. He replied that he didn't see anything wrong, but the funds would go out the following week. I emailed again on May 12th and on May 13th the seller replied, once again, that the refund would go out that day. I still have received nothing.
My biggest beef with this whole situation is the fact that there is an obvious defect in these barrels and that should have been mentioned in the ad.
