Well I received the rifle back --- without a shipping or tracking confirmation, and with no way to know when it would arrive at my house. I emailed 6 times over 4 days requesting a tracking #, with no joy. Luckily, I was home at lunch and they happened to deliver during that time.
And guess what? The hand-cycling issue was STILL there, with both dummy rounds and live ammo (m855, m193, and MK 318). The smiths said it was fixed, CLEARLY it was not. I swapped the BCG from the Delton and my Sig; the Sig's BCG worked in the Delton and the Delton, but the Delton BCG didn't work in either rifle. So CLEARLY there is something messed up with the Delton BCG.
I emailed them several times - once on the day I received my rifle, then again a day later, then again the next day --- no joy. No responses. And their "Live Chat" button has consistently been offline for several days.
I decided then that I'd order a factory DelTon BCG from them to see if that would correct the issue. I placed the order for a mil-spec BCG (chromed, staked, etc) on Friday 1/24. Never received a confirmation email. Have emailed them 2 x and still not heard back.
All in all, given the fucked up BCG, complete lack of customer service, and complete lack of concern for their customers, I would have to give them 1/5 stars and a big
I guess the old saying "you get what you pay for" is really true. Screw you DelTon, you just lost a customer.
