Further Update of 8/31/04: I will also entertain trades for a sniper rifle in .308 if it has a moa of 1/2 or better. See bottom post with further information.
UPDATE: These were not traded. I considered trading the Colt CAR for a monocular with a litton 64 lp/mm tube, and the dealer sent it to me for my evaluation, but the trade did not develop, so I never even shipped my gun, so I took it out yesterday after airing the nv back to the dealer, and shot it some more. This is agreat looking Colt sp1 carbine conversion (all colt), and it looks and shoots as you would expect. If any one has any 3rd gen night vision you would like to trade, let me hear from you.
I will try posting briefly to see if I get any interest before deciding to buy for cash through my source's wholesaler with this year's bonus money if necessary, but I would rather sell/trade while the weather is still nice for outdoors.
I will email you photos upon request. There will be two series of photos showing both guns.
I can email photos of the following:
The Colt CAR has a Colt sp1 lower. It is with a Colt A-2 1/7 twist 16" barreled upper. It has a Colt 2 position stock. I value it at $1450.
I want: ITT Litton, Excalibur, or USNV monocular or goggle 3rd gen night vision without specks, dots or blobs in the field of vision. It must be pristine. I have had 6 pair of night vision over the years so speak precisely if you email and if you have a tube sheet (if an Excalibur), be prepared to email it. Minimum lp/mm is 51 to 64, and a well taken care of unit is what I am interested in. I am assuming a valuation on most used night vision of 1/3 to 1/2 of the new price as they depreciate rapidly even with low time. Tell me what you have.
EMAIL DIRECTLY: as I do not watch the board in the day.
