I've got two AK mags I held onto after I sold my SAR-1. I got sick of keeping them oiled (humid around here) so I painted them.. I was testing what to use so each is different. One was sprayed with an automotive rubberized undercoating.. This almost acts like a no-slip rubber pistol grip..
The other I painted with a restoration type protectant/paint called POR-15.. It's a gloss black and it seals the surface up air tight so steel literally CANT rust.. Awesome stuff.. Not meant to be abused though and can get banged up.. I wanted to explain what I painted them with so that whoever buys 'em doesn't say WTF are these? haha..
If possible I'd like to trade my two AK mags for:
A Springfield XD-40S&W 12rd factory mag
A Sig P228 Mecgar 15rd mag or factory/Mecgar 13rd mag
Two functioning USGI 20rd AR-15 mags don't care what they look like as long as tabs and feed lips are O.K.
If all else fails, I'm open to possible trades for *anything* if it interests me.
I can take pics of the painted mags upon request also.
Thanks for looking
