Looking for a Polytech/Norinco M14S or a 1911. I have for trade a Remington 1903A3, serial number in the 4.1 million range with a barrel marked ‘9/43’. From lists of other rifles in the same period, receiver serial number and barrel are correct for the time, so confident that this is not re-barreled. All visible parts are ‘R’ marked and the correct ‘period’ for the rifle. All parts are blued except for the receiver, barrel and safety (parked). I do have a really nice blued, Remington safety tab around somewhere that could be added. Bluing is in very good shape for the age. Wood is in very good shape. Handguard has a very small hairline crack that is not visible when on the rifle; I smeared some crazy glue on the underside to prevent it getting any worse. The crack and glue are not visible when the handguard is installed on the rifle. Cartouches include RA, ordnance wheel and boxed FJA below the cutoff, RA on the left side of the buttstock (not RA-P that would indicate a Raritan Arsenal rebuild), and the hieroglyphics (inspector marks) forward of the trigger guard. Buttplate is a little rough and there is a plastic cleaning kit in the stock. I have had the rifle for 1-2 years, and have never shot it. Guy I bought it from got it from an individual in Florida 16-17 years ago, so this is not from CMP, at least back through two owners. Have more pictures if interested.
I have +18 feedback on AR15.com.
