Well, the trading bug has bit me so I'm offering up one of my nicer kits. This is a 100% matching P.L.O. 1971 Izhevsk stamped AKM parts kit I ordered from Joeken a few years ago. It has the original, uncut barrel with a nice-looking bright, shiney bore. Interestingly, the rifle appears to have a blued finish (I thought these were supposed to be parked and painted). The metal finish shows even wear all over. The handguards show a few bumps and bruises, but nothing major. The buttstock is pretty nice. Matching numbers are on the barrel trunnion, bolt carrier, bolt, recoil spring, gas tube, and dust cover. I ordered a NDS-1 receiver and had it custom numbered to match the kit (I had to add a "0" to the front of the number to make it the requisite number of digits). The small parts to the kit are included, I didn't photograph them because I didn't want something falling through a crack in my deck. If you want to see additional pics, just ask.
There are 2 very minor issues with the kit: The finish on the rear receiver stub is parked, so I suspect it came from another gun. The kit was this way when I bought it. The finish on the buttstock still matches the handguards pretty closely. Since you won't keep the rear receiver stub and the rear trunnion would be refinished, I don't see this as much of an issue. Also, the left side of the barrel trunnion was nicked when the gun was being cut up. This is far away from the rear rivet hole and guide rail and will not affect function at all. It will also not be visible when the kit is built.
I'm including a Tapco FCG, muzzle brake and gas piston as well. All you'll beed is to have the kit built, refinished and the selector lever markings engraved and you'll have something as close to a real, # matching stamped Russian AKM without paying a NFA tax stamp and $20K+.
Trades: I'm really looking for an Arsenal SAM7A1R or a SAM7R. Other things might pique my interest so go ahead and let me know what you have. I like German and Rusian WWII C&R stuff and AK's. The worst I can say is "no thanks".
