WTS / WTT an early (circa 1985) Taurus PT 92AF - 9mm and three (3) 15 round magazine. *Sold *
Ships to your FFL mounted with a pair of black Pachmayr grips and the original Brazilian rosewood grips in the box. Still has the original box, hang tag and instruction manual. (No kidding)
This is one of the original double stack magazine / open slide Taurus copies of the vaunted Beretta 9mm. (History lesson) Forjas Taurus purchased Beretta's entire Brazilian manufacturing operation when their contract to arm the Brazilian government concluded. This gun pioneered many of the features we take for granted in today's modern combat pistols.
Double action, fixed sites, frame mounted safety, ambidextrous magazine release, oversized trigger guard, vertical grooves on the front and back of the grip, no decocking lever.
In March of 1992, the barrel assembly (barrel, tilting block) were replace under the Taurus Lifetime Warranty. Pretty cool - gun was repaired by the factory, not questions asked.
I estimate this pistol has 800 rounds down the pipe. I am the original owner and has never had a failure to feed or eject. This gun has been well cared for the past 19 years. Rarely carried - generally a safe queen.
Overall -I'd rate the condition as 95%. Some slight bluing wear around the front edges of the slide and trigger guard and the sites could use a little dab of white paint to brighten them back up. This is a rust free pistol and she still shoots well. One magazine is the original magazine and has a bit of rust on the base plate.
Asking $275 OBO + FFL charges. I'd like the cash to fund another project, but interesting trades are always welcome. If you're in Oregon, we can discuss a FTF sale.
