As many of you know, the gracious Team Member of AR15.com pooled together and donated a sum of money to obtain a pistol to give to Dick Anthony Heller, Dane V (his previously acting attorney and counsel during the initial start of the challenge, and the third pistol was raffled off to one lucky winner that donated. Mr. Heller drew the winning ticket in the NRA booth at Shot Show 09'
As a result, you all forwarded me the money to create 3 identical pistols for this give away, and I decided to order 6 frames all together in consecutive serial number for this package. I hired a display case maker and a gentleman by the name of Don Llewellyn in NV offered to make 3 knives to include in the package.
I have taken the 3 additional pistols and made them in the same fashion as the pistols presented to Heller, and have them marked at $3200 to include the display case, the knife and the pistol. The knife and pistol sport the serial number of the pistol and both also sport the AR15.com Bolt face logo engraved onto the slide along with a portion of the 2nd Amendment with the court date where the Supreme court ruled in favor of turning over the DC handgun ban. The all but 5 of the pistols were spoken for, and the 6th one is available though it has not been finished. It is close, and I'm looking for a 6th person to take the pistol.
I don't currently have it complete, but it will take me a matter of 2 days to complete the build and send it off for finishing. I would expect to have the pistol done by the end of October. If there are people that are serious in taking this pistol, it will go to the first person who can supply me with at 50% deposit and the other 50% due at the time it is to be finished.
Here are a few profession photographs that were taken of the pistol, and more pictures can be seen by emailing me - firstname.lastname@example.org
This pistol is a picture of gun number 3 that was raffled off at Shot Show to one of the members of AR15.com, who donated in part with many others. The object of these build was to commemorate the Supreme Court victory and present the first pistol to Dick Heller for all the hard work he put into the challenge and making a significant mark in the battle over our Second Amendment. The second pistol was awarded to Dane V. - the gentleman that began the battle with Mr. Heller, even putting himself through Law School to act as legal council and representation in the early and middle 1990's. The third was raffled off to a gentleman by the name of Omega-1 on the forums.
The pistol pictured is not the pistol for sale as the final pistol has yet to be finished. The customer that originally put a deposit down for the gun I'm listing has backed out and will forfeiting this opportunity. This is the last one, and there will not be any more built after this one is sold. It comes with a display case engraved with a quote by Heller "In a truly free country, one does not need to ask permission to bear arms." I will be finishing the pistol soon and it will be available sometime in October.
The package includes the display case, a custom knife by Don Llewelyn of Las Vegas, NV and the pistol. The pistol and knife have the logo from AR15.com engraved into the slide and blade. The serial number of the gun is also engraved onto the knife and the court case and date can be seen forward of the ejection port. The reverse of the slide has a message similar to the Second Amendment "...and the right to bear arms shall not be infringed."
The display case, knife handle and grips are all made from the same piece of Mahogany for a matching color and grain. Mahogany was chosen as the material because it is the same wood that makes up the bench within the Supreme Court. The pistol has a Gold Bead Sight, Flat Topped and Serrated, Diamond Checkering on the front and back, Smith and Alexander Beavertail, Cylinder and Slide Ignition, 10-8 Trigger and Rear Sight, Staggered Borders and an Ed Brown Thumb Safety and Mag Catch
Again, price is $3200 - well under the normal retail. I decided to incorporate the 15% off my labor for this pistol for a deal to be had by anyone that is interested in it.
