I’ve a fantastic little gun that is in search of a new owner.
This one started out as a 1967 Colt Lightweight Commander in 9mm Luger. Last year, it was sent off to our fine friends in Arizona for a makeover, including being fit for dual use as a 38 Super. This one received Ted’s personal attention and is so marked.
Here are the stats for the gun:
Yo-Bo Retro Sight package, including a Yo-Bo Retro rear and a ramped and serrated front sight that has been milled in parallel to the centerline of the bore and soldered.
A fine pencil border separates the hand polished flats from the matte round top of the slide.
A lowered ejection port.
Front strap has been high cut with Diamond Point Serrations.
Hand beveled magwell.
High cut and re-contoured beavertail grip safety.
Fitted and serrated aluminum mainspring housing.
Fitted and contoured Ed Brown thumb safety.
Colt style serrated mag-release.
Bar-stock plunger tube.
C&S action components, with a long solid trigger, and set for a crisp 4lb. break.
Bar-Sto 38 Super barrel and bushing.
Factory Colt 9mm barrel fit with a new King’s bushing.
Match grade extractor.
Extended and tuned ejector.
Mild, yet effective, carry dehorn.
The whole package was then refinished, blue on the slide, re-anodized on the frame.
With no more than a simple field stripping, you can change this gun from a 9mm Luger to a 38 Super. Included with the gun are (3) 38 Super magazines and (1) 9mm Luger magazine.Price for this package is $2850
, plus $35 shipping. Some trades considered on a “Folsom style” basis. Questions can be directed to me at Stokes@AR15.com
