I bought this as an impulse buy at a gun show but decided I didn't want to keep it. I've fired 150 rounds through it and then throughly and carefully cleaned it, so you won't be able to distinguish it from being NIB.
The barrel is blued but stainless over the chamber. The hammer is blued on top and stainless on the sides. The blueing is very smooth, polished, bright and shiney. This series 70 colt has a regular bushing, and it does have the old-style bridged slide rail. The grips are checkered rosewood. Obviously it has no firing pin safety system. It has a short steel trigger with a clean pull and a perfect break. It comes with the collector's box, 2 colt mags, manuals, lock.
Gun retails $850, I am asking $700 plus shipping. FTF transfer in Richmond area welcome. E-mail me at quantumpion _at_ gmail.com for questions.
