I threaded on a titanium comp with no grease of any kind and it got stuck on the barrel. I tried putting the barrel in the freezer overnight, then heating the comp but in the end, I had to cut the comp off with a dremel. (in hindsight, I should have just left the comp on there and enjoyed the barrel) I ended up getting another barrel to finish my SPR so this one has been sitting around. The muzzle threads are a little mucked up but I did clean them up with a die and various muzzle devices thread on fine...a bit loose, but seats strongly against the collar. I had an A2 flash hider timed on it with a crush washer and it seemed to hold just fine. I wouldn't try mounting a suppressor on it, but brakes and FH's should be fine. You can either run it like this or have the threads cut off ending up with a 17.5" barrel. There's also some discoloration from heating up the muzzle end. I was going to build another upper around it but who am I kidding, it'll probably just sit around. My stupidity is your gain! Here are the specs:
18" Ballistic Advantage Premium SPR barrel with the correct dimensions for the Ops Inc. collar. 416R Stainless, 1:8 twist, .223 Wylde chamber, rifle length gas, bead blasted finish with FailZero Nickel Boron coated barrel extension.
