I am looking to get rid of some gear that is just sitting around and collecting dust. It has not seen any field time. I tried it on, then put it in the closet. Here it is:
The Arktis 1601 Jungle/Assault Vest has been designed to work handily with or without Body Armor. The vest features four magazine pockets that can fit M4, AK, and .308 style magazines. On the sides, there are large sustainment pockets that can easily accomodate an MRE or other useful field necessities. Three small utility pockets and two zippered map pockets allow for easy storage of important items.
The back of the vest has a ripstop hydration carrier that runs the length of the vest. There are lash tabs built in that allow for easy size adjustment. The vest can be adjusted for height with the velcro tabs on the shoulders. D-rings here also allow for the routing of drinking tubes and commo cables.
The front of the vest closes with a redundant system of Fastex buckles and a full length zipper. When used over armor, only the fastex need be used (this allows you to not have to stop and adjust the size of the vest before changing to armor). The vest also secures with a built-in two-inch nylon waist belt that fastens with a slide release buckle.
The vest is constructed of Cordura nylon and heavy duty nylon mesh.
It is in OD. Sells new for about $220.
Price: $140 OBO. Buyer to pay shipping from Tucson, AZ.
Feel free to email with questions. Thanks for looking.
