. Face to face available for NM residents
Up for sale is an excellent condition original Arsenal SLR-95 milled 7.62x39 AK-47. Included in the deal is the rifle, original sling, picatinny rail, original 5-round mag, and one Russian 30-rnd mag, all shown in the photo (I'll supply a Russian mag without a dent, noticed after photo was taken). The rifle has a Steyr-manufactured chrome-lined barrel, milled receiver, and is much higher quality than the US-built AKs that are put together with US receivers and surplus parts kits. This rifle has all matching numbers...the bolt, bolt-carrier, and dust cover all match the weapon's serial number. All parts are original except the Picatinny rail, which is bolted to the trunnion. The picatinny rail is ROCK solid, much better than dust-cover mounts. I used it for mounting an AIMPOINT since in my opinion, the primary thing standing in the way of AK accuracy is crappy sights. I don't have the original rear sight...house burned down in 2004 and lost it (gun was in the safe). They're available for about $16 + $5 for the spring either on gunbroker or elsewhere on the web.
Condition wise i'd rate this rifle in excellent 95-98% condition. There is some finish wear around the magazine well, the normal selector lever scratch, and a bit of the finish scraped off the muzzle brake, as shown in the photo. Of course some finish is worn off the bolt and bolt carrier from cycling. No rust whatsoever on the gun although one of the machine screws holding the picatinny rail on has a bit of light rust. It has been fired (and drawn coyote blood)...I am the original owner. The rifle has about 500 rounds through it as I never went through the first case of ammo I bought. It's been sitting in the safe unused for several years and it's time to make way for new toys.
Shipping and insurance is $30 throught the Lower 48 states via UPS ground. Actual shipping charges apply for Alaska. If this isn't legal in your state, please don't bid. It is a post-ban item (made in '95 or '96) if that matters in your state. I will ship directly to your FFL dealer which is perfectly legal. If your FFL requires that it be shipped FROM an FFL, you are responsible for fees on BOTH ends. I will do face to face transfers to New Mexico residents w/current ID.
I'll accept payment via USPS Money Orders ONLY. No other money orders. I'll also accept payment via Paypal if you must use a credit card but it will cost an extra 3% for their fees and you must conceal what the item is. FYI I have numerous chinese and russian AK mags that I can include for an extra charge to the winning bidder if interested. Contact David at email@example.com regarding the item.
