I've got a true odd-ball of a USP for sale. Its odd, but its also an incredibly nice one. Here's the deal. I bought it used. The previous owner had attempted to install an HK match trigger and failed horribly. He sent it to HK and they had to replace the frame. That means the frame and internals are brand new, but the serial number does not match the slide and barrel. They did install the match trigger.
The next unusual feature is the rear tang. I shoot the HK like I shoot a 1911 which means I ride the safety with my thumb. If you've ever tried this with an HK, you know this doesn't work out so well. The tang is just too wide and too low. So, I sent it off to Bruce Gray. He reshaped the tang. I'm not sure how he does this, but you really can't tell the difference in look or texture. The only thing you notice is that the gun fits better in the hand. While he had it, he also smoothed out the trigger pull.
OK, now how about magazines? I am including 8 factory 12 round magazines. I installed Wolff springs and they are stiff. Its difficult to load the 12th round, but it will fit. I will include the original springs as well, but the Wolff springs are VERY reliable. I will also include 2 Pro-Mags with the same Wolff springs. Some people have had problems with Pro-Mags, but since I installed the springs, they have both run 100%.
The gun also comes with very bright Meprolight sights, ambi safety, all the original trigger components, a replacement recoil spring and two different detent plates. Because I ride the safety, I didn't want it to decock and installed a variant 9 plate. I have the v.1 plate and I'll ship it with either installed and include the other in case you change your mind.
So, to recap, we have a full size USP .45 with non-matching numbers
, factory installed match trigger, Bruce Gray contoured tang, Bruce Gray trigger smoothing,
mepros, ambi safety, 8 factory mags
, 2 Pro Mags
, Wolff springs, variant 1 and 9 detent plates plus I have a LNIB UTL light
, a Blade-Tech right hand holster, Galco concealable paddle holster, Eagle drop leg holster, Blade-Tech single mag pouch and Galco leather double mag pouch
and a GG&G rail adapter
so you can put any light on it if you don't like the UTL.
Price for everything is $1325 shipped and insured to your FFL. If you just want the gun and two factory mags, I will sell tham for $650 shipped and that price is firm. I will not sell the mags, light, holsters or other accessories until the pistol sells. I would also consider trades for upper end 1911 pistols such as a Colt Gunsite, Les Baer TRS or similar model or a Leupold Mark 4 1.5-5x MR/T Ill M2. Plus or minus cash to even out any trades.
I have more pics on request. FTF in VA is fine or I can ship if your dealer allows shipments from an individual.
