As the ad says........wood and metal in excellent shape. I got this in a trade from an old timer who had the M-1 for years..............might be a DCM piece.
Complete with sling, bayonet , spare bloc clips and 1 bloc clip of original ammo. Looking up the Sn. it appears this receiver was made in 1944 . I did notice that the bolt has an SA which to the best of my reading means Springfield. The stock has a Defense Department (Eagle with 3 stars and P in a circle) cartouche on the opposite side of the bolt handle and the number 59 is on the butt end of the wood. Barrel area when I open the breech shows SA 10-48. I also will include some reference books on the Garand as well as the proper issue cleaning kit which I beleive goes in the butt stock trap door.
Will ship to FFL or C&R holder in CONUS or pickup in local Atlanta area. If you have something you might want to trade drop me a note.
