Remington 700. 22-250remington with a 26" stainless steel heavy barrel. The polished action feeds 4 rounds + one via a Stainless Steel hinged drop magazine
The stock is a Boyd's brown laminate, thumb cut fluted Monte Carlo style, with ventilation grooves cut under the barrel. This also saves on overall weight.
There is a Boyd's rubber butt pad installed at the factory. I have seen this gun on an auction site listed as a Remington Enhanced. I received some input from shooting forums that this
gun was produced around the year 2001 in limited numbers. If anyone knows this to be a for sure fact please let me know. I do know for a fact this stock alone is sold for $150 to $200.
The gun has been set up for benchrest shooting by the following additions:
I only use the finest optics, and this one is fitted with a Leupold Vari-X III EFR Matte 6.5 x 20 power scope with Target knobs. It is of course mounted on Leupold Bases and Rings.
A Jewel Trigger has been installed. This is NOT for the everyday shooter. This trigger is measured in OUNCES, not pounds. It is the top of the line Jewell, with a Manual Safety.
The gun sets on a Harris retractable Bipod for a rock steady rest when varmint hunting and is removable by hands, no tools needed.
The gun and scope alone sells for $1500. ($750 for the scope, $750 for the bare rifle). The trigger was $250, and the rings & bases were $50. The Bipod was $75.
This gun shoots sub MOA at 100 yards any of the Premium Brands of Ammo that I tried. The first batch of handloads I tried were cloverleaf groups. With a bit of tinkering on loads the gun
should meet anyone's accuracy needs. My last outing was with Nosler Ballistic Tip handloads. The Elevation knob is dialed in to 300 yards now. We were breaking clay pigeons placed on
the berm with ease. I will post a few pictures, and can send many more, large or small depending on your connection speed.
As she sets, $1395.
I would consider trades on Colt, S&W Early Blue Magnum Models, Detonics CombatMaster, or BrenTen.
