Will sell for 750 shipped
I bought this from RGUNS a couple months ago. It is a legit 1944 Izhevsk 91/30 sniper rifle that was refurbed post war. The scope and mount are force matched to the rifle. The original scope number was buffed off the barrel as you can see in the pictures. The scope is a 1942 SVT scope that is in great shape considering that is 70 years old and possibly used during WW2. Out of the 6 or so PU snipers that I looked at that day, this scope had the clearest optics out of all of them. The stock looks to be a postwar build in very nice condition. Now for the bad part, the bore. This rifle has put ALOT of rounds downrange in its lifetime. Maybe it was heavily used during WW2 or could have been used for training purposes post war, we'll never know. The rifling is worn down pretty good towards the chamber. Towards the muzzle the bore looks pretty cruddy. It may clean up a little bit with some shooting and cleaning. The muzzle is pretty tight though, it did better on the bullet test than any of the other 6 Russian Mosins from my collection. I'm sure it will shoot fine.
The thing is I would call myself a shooter who likes to collect a little bit. I was planning on working up some handloads for this and putting in some serious range time. I don't want to start out with a well used bore. I don't have room for safe queens, only shooters. So I would like to trade for another PU sniper. I'm looking for something with an excellent bore, excellent optics and a good, solid stock. A nice trigger is also a big plus but not a deal breaker. Anything else after that is a bonus. I'm willing to sweeten the deal if need be with some extra cash or other gun related stuff. It is a very nice rifle but it doesn't fit in with my collecting style, I hope it finds a good home.
