This is the other toy that I decided to sell to finance my new rifle.
I have a Ruger K77VT in .308 Win that has had some work done to it. I has a factory Ruger (although I don't think it was made by Ruger, most people say they were high end Wilson barrels) tube on it. The action was blueprinted by a gunsmith friend of mine in Chinook when I put the Lilja tube on it. Its still in the laminated Ruger stock and it has been glass bedded. The trigger is still the Ruger 2 stage, but it has been adjusted down to 1 3/4 Lbs. This barrel has about 800 rounds through it and has been cleaned every 30-40 rounds. Its a 26" tube, so the rifle with a scope on it has to tip the scales at 13 Lbs. It has a set of factory Ruger rings on it right now (they weren't the rings I was using, those and the Lilja barrel wound up on my other Ruger K77.)
The K77VTs are the heavy barrel laminated stocked kind of dull gray stainless rifles
This rifle with 168 gr. Nosler J4's in IMI match brass with a CCI BR2 and 40.5 gr. of H4895 will group 1 1/2" at 200 yards all day long.
I'd like 550 bucks for this rifle, but I will consider all serious offers.
EDITED FOR CLARITY... This rifle NO LONGER has a Lilja tube on it. It has the factory Ruger tube back on it. The Lilja barrel is sitting in the corner of a friends shop waiting to go on the rifle I'll be buying. I handn't planned on selling this rifle a year ago when I had the factory tube put back on it. my gunsmith mowed some off the back end of the barrel and rechambered it with a nice and sharp live center Clymer reamer. Its plenty accurate. I've got well over 8 bills into this rifle.
