XM16E1 rifles manufactured in 1964 had chrome carriers. These carriers are tough to find, so I had a carrier chromed while I was looking. Finally got a real one so am selling this one. This is the same carrier pictured in the variation guide:
The carrier was originally an excellent condition take off from a 1966-67 Colt's XM16E1/M16A1 (prior to Colt's marking them "C"). Sent it off to Metaloy to be plated. Have shot about 60 round through it since plating. Only thing that give away that it is not original is that the carrier key bolts are chromed, originals were blued. Need $100 delivered via USPS Priority mail insured with delivery confirmation. Cashiers check or MO accepted, no PAYPAL, they banned me for selling gun parts.
Steve, will send you an E-mail later today, headed to church here in a bit.....
Colt probably has staplers or carpet stains in their building that have been there far longer than RRA has been in business. new-arguy, 2005
