I posted an item for trade and I received an offer for 629PD
I received the following pictures:
Pictured item is 625PD
and that is what I received.
When I looked at the pictures initially, I was using my phone so I glanced at it and thought it was 629PD as described. 629PD is something that I actually want, but 625PD is something that I do not. When values for my item and the item received were compared at the local shop that handled the transfer, It was over $200 difference.
The 629PD and 625PD look very similar.
The other party's argument is that he sent pictures and on the spent casing envelop the information is indicated, which I could not see on my phone. On the gun, the marking "45ACP" which would be on 625PD is not visible. Only difference in marking is the "44 mag" that would be on the 629PD. Why would I expect 625PD to be pictured, when the offer was for 629PD?
My item is 98% PTR-91GI unfired with scope rail and 10 magazines; item received is 625PD graded at 95%-90% by the shop.
I offered the user I traded with following option:
1. Make a reasonable compensation for the difference in value
2. Exchange the items and cover shipping for the exchange and original shipping cost.
The other user offered exchange but we each cover our shipping and no compensation for the original shipping of my item to his dealer.
I will take the advice of the Mods. Thank you.
