Posted a listing here
for a BCG Trade.
startedwith1 Emails me that he has one, emails me pictures and description.
I show him pictures of mine with description. Email history following that:
i'm game if you are
You want to do it?
Alright, cool. Post in the thread that you'll do the trade, and mail the BCG out to the following address.
<My address info given>
Once I receive the BCG I will ship mine out to the address of your choosing. Thanks!
<He then posted a reply to the trade thread and emails me again>
i posted for your viewing. have you done any trades before?
i have shipped first before and i don't anymore.
??? No different than if you were buying from the EE and sending payment first.
i'll pass, thanks!
<He then posts ANOTHER reply to the thread saying he will not ship first!>
So his thing is he refuses to ship first, even though AR15.com case history clearly states that the one responding to the ad ships first normally same as a payment if you agree to buy from a listing. Countless past examples that show this to be the case, a recent search will pull up many such examples including this thread,
"Yep...Same as buying an item normally. The person who wants your item needs to send either money or trade FIRST. Just because it's a trade, doesn't change the method. Buyer sends first."
I even gave him an alternative solution. I told him I would buy it for $125 instead if he wants. He doesn't want to do that either. I warned him that this could result in negative feedback, he told me to do what I thought was "ethical".
