Traded for an Eagle Arms AR-10 barrel... thanks!
Here is the deal... I bought this off the forums to allow me to have a tube to finally build my AR-10 pistol... yea, I am building an AR-10 pistol and all I need is the upper receiver and if you wish to discuss see www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=62&t=262752&page=1
So, what I have is this 20-inch Chrome linned AR-10A4 barrel and I would prefer not to cut down a Chrome linned barrel if I could avoid it. The bore is really nice and the only flaw with the barrel is that the muzzle break is one of the pressed on types with two "non-blind" pins and someone tried to take a pair of channel locks to the break and twist it off. For about $40 the barrel could be sent to any of a number of accomplished shops here on the board to have the barrel threaded for a normal flash hider and it would be the same cost as to have your Eagle Arms barrel done....
I am looking for a pretty much even trade... my Armalite 20-in A4 for an Eagle Arms 20-in A4.
If this doesn't work out I will just get the chrome linned barrel cut but it seems a waste as I am not going to be shooting my BOLT ACTION AR-10 pistol enough that I need a chome bore!ETA:
My barrel is one of the newer "light" profile AR-10A4 barrels... or I am pretty sure it is... The barrel is slightly smaller in diameter forward of where the gas block is attached and while I have not had a stipped AR-10 barrel in my hands in some time I am pretty sure that the older style was more massive forward of the gas port.
