A few days ago I orded a mag pouch from Specter Gear (located in Visalia, CA) for an M14 mag. Today I received my order. They shipped the wrong product. They shipped a universal pistol mag pouch, which I really don't need. It cost me a total of $22.07 ($14.95 plus $1.12 tax plus $6.00 shipping).
So I figured I'd make the most of the situation. I called them and indicated that I would keep the pistol mag pouch, and buy the M14 mag pouch I really needed, upon the condition that they waive shipping for the M14 mag pouch. They wouldn't cooperate. They told me that they would magnanimously waive the 20% restocking fee if I returned the pistol mag pouch to them, but that I would have to eat the $6.00 shipping!!! When I protested, I was transferred to a girl who announced herself as the assistant manager, or something along those lines. I told her my predicament, and she reiterated the store policy that I would have to eat the $6.00 if I returned the mag pouch. I pointed out that her company shipped the wrong product, and she said she didn't care, that they would not reimburse me the $6.00. I told her it was bad business, and that I planned to go on the internet with this. Her exact response: "Not a problem."
Here's the corker. I opened the "universal" pistol mag pouch that I am now stuck with, and it is a very bad fit for my G21 and G35 mags. It fits my G23 mag, and that's it. Very universal, huh?
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH SPECTER GEAR. BUYER BEWARE. YOU MAY GET STUCK WITH SOMETHING YOU DIDN'T ORDER TO BEGIN WITH.
