Please repeat this S L O W E R for a guy with reading problems (like me)!
Do I understand that if I want to but a silencer I simply get a serial number of a silencer from a manufacturer (like you) and then submit a Form 4 transfering this silencer from my local C3 FFL to me with my local C3 FFL NOT having the silencer in his possesion? Then, when the paperwork is approved you simply ship this silencer with the pre-transfered serial number to my C3 dealer who transfers it to me?
Also, the 4473 is for firearms... Do we transfer silencers on the 4473 as well...?
New to me... but I haven't played this game yet!
Sorry if I did not explain it properly.
If an idividual would like a silencer, they would supply us with individual or the corporate info.
The form 4 is filled out on this end.
The completed form 4 is then mailed to the purchser, if the purchaser is a corporation they add the check for the $200 BATF Tax stamp, signs the form 4 and mails it to the BATF. If the buyer is an individual they would also add
passport photos, completed finger print cards and a CLEO sign off also.
Once BATF approved, the silencer is transfered and shipped to the a dealer of your choice in your state.
That dealer then transfers it to the purchaser.
I hope I explain it better.
