SOLD PENDING FUNDS
I have gone back and forth about this, and have decided to sell my "Clackamas, OR" marked, Kimber Classic Model Custom 1911 in .45 ACP. This is one of the collectable early models that Kimber used to build its reputation, and is pre-Series II, which means it is as John Browning designed the 1911, without extra safeties or moving parts. Machining and finish work is absolutely first rate––it equals the Baer's and Brown's I've owned, and really shows how hard Kimber worked early on to make a great name for itself. It is in 99% condition, with no dings, dents, rust, or pitting. Factory satin blue finish, with original rubber grips and fixed sights. The trigger is the original lightweight McCormick style skeleton trigger. Trigger pull is light and sweet, and the barrel-slide fit is tight as a bank vault. Shoots great, and has run 100% with ball and JHP. It doesn't look like it has had more than 500 rounds through it since new. Comes with original black Kimber box and blued 7-round Kimber magazine (also in excellent++ shape). $850 face to face in southwest metro Denver. I can thrown in another Novak's 8-round magazine, too. LOCAL trades considered.
