The South Korean Daewoo DR200 rifle incorporates the best features of the AR, AK and FAL platforms.
The lower receiver features controls nearly identical to the AR platform and uses standard AR magazines. One significant difference from the AR system is a robust fixed ejector in place of the spring-loaded ejector. The fire control group and bolt are almost exactly the same as the AR.
The upper receiver shares the iron sights and 1:12 barrel twist of the M16-A1. The gas system is a long-stroke gas piston exactly like the Kalashnikov design. There is an adjustable gas regulator similar to the FAL. With a slight modification, standard and rail system FAL handguards can be fitted. A weaver rail
can be mounted to the upper receiver and a receiver adapter, robust folding stock and U.S. pistol grip and FCG can be obtained from ACE, Ltd.SPF
