The left side is marked:
The lower has the two screw .250" front pivot, .170" fire control pins, and No Sear Block. There is a four position older style stock with the "N" and "1" markings, and "H" buffer.
If you really look, you can find a couple of handling marks. It is a beautiful gray. (I think the current production black is too much black) There are no scratchs through the fininsh. The only thing I can find out of spec is the feedramps have been polished. I am not law enforcement so I am not the original owner. I bought it from the FFL I work for part time. He got in from the widow (heart attack) of the owner. I have shot it and it works perfect. Looking at the bolt/carrier and hammer it has not been shot much. I bought it because the aren't many around. I am selling to fund a Mark 23. My brother just bought one and want one.
According to Colt the carbine was shipped during the first quarter of 1996. This was just before Colt switched from mechanical sear blocks to the current process of leaving material in the auto sear location. With the LEO carbines Colt did not bother with a sear block. There were very few of these carbines produced. The carbine will include a couple 20rd Colt mags and a sling in a closed cell assault case. $1,550 OBO. Pictures are available upon request.
