I am selling a Marlin 336 RC in 35 Remington with a micro-grooved barrel. The serial number starts with Y, indicating that it was manufactured in 1964. The barrel is stamped JM. It has a Lyman rear peep sight and a hooded front sight. It is tapped for a scope mount. It also sports sling studs on the forearm band and buttstock. The gun as a whole is in fantastic condition and most think that it is brand new until I tell them the year it was made. The bore is perfect. The bluing is mint with not a single rust spot or pitting. There are two light marks near the Lyman rear sight that are very light and about ½ inch long. There are some marks on the right side of the hammer from it being cocked and fired/released. The wood is in great shape for a gun over 50 years old. There are a couple of very small handling marks. There is a scratch on the right side of the buttstock that is about 1 inch long or so near the buttplate. I am guessing that the metal buttplate of another gun hit it in the safe. Everything on the gun is tight and the action is very smooth.
I have owned the rifle for 15 years and I have never fired a single shot out of it. It has been a true safe queen. Only taken out to periodically clean and put back in.
I am also including 110 rounds of 200 gr ammo (100 rounds of Remington Core lokt and 10 rounds of Winchester power point). There is also almost 50 rounds of once-fired brass casings (shot using a TC contender).
Price for everything, including ammo and shipping, is $650.
I will only ship to a FFL (buyer makes sure that they take receipt from an individual). The ammo will be shipped directly to the buyer. I am located in upstate NY
Hopefully I can figure out how to post pictures. In the meantime, please pm with your email address if you would like pictures.
