Please read this carefully so that you know what you are getting. This is a Kimber 1911 conversion assembly that sits on your 1911 frame and allows you to shoot .22 ammo. This particular unit is about a year old, and shoots excellently. The pictures below were all taken today.
Here is the disclaimer part: this unit comes with two modified magazines. Kimber made the magazines with a proprietary floor plate that was not mag-well compatible, and could not be easily replaced. I used a dremel tool and fit two Wilson base plates to the mag bodies. Both magazines are fully functional, but I did a better job on one then the other, so one magazine is now only 9 rounds instead of 10. Also, in my experience with this unit, the slide assembly has to be well lubricated for reliable feeding.
At retail, this set-up runs around $260, and the additional magazine runs around $35. I'm looking for $200 shipped.
