These are called Go-Bags or Active Shooter Response Bags. I first came across these in an article in SWAT magazine written about Paul Howe. These were originally designed by Paul and Matt Campbell of Killer Gear.
Matt is a former Marine and he and I have known each other for a little while. I ordered one of these bags from him and really love it. SIMPLE FUNCTION. These are very versatile and simple bags. We have talked about these bags several times and have thought of a couple of additions. The ones I have now are what I believe and improvement to the original. I had him add a strip of Velcro across the front for patches or name tapes and also had him add a tab on each pocket for a lanyard retention or an ITW Nexus Grimlock.
I have 2 colors currently, Coyote and Marpat. The Coyote is made with 1000 denier Cordura and the Marpat is made with the 725 denier Cordura. The 725 denier is the same fabric that the USMC is running on their packs now. The 725 has the same abrasion resistance as the 1000 denier but a little lighter and more flexible. The buckles are ITW Nexus buckles and these bags are made bomb proof. You will not be disappointed with the quality at all. All of these were sewn by Matt himself at Killer Gear. They have 2 pockets that you can fit 5 mags in each pocket, trauma gear, shotgun shells, or whatever the heck else you want, an adjustable shoulder sling, and a rear carry handle. I have 2 Marpat and 3 Coyote. $35 shipped to your door.
Thanks for checking these out.
