Apparently the authenticity of my claim was in question by a member. This is what I told that poster:

I don't get, if you dislike OSOE, don't mess with him. Its simple, the guy that claims he was ripped off years ago, does anyone know him in person? Or is he just another anonymous screen name with an agenda?? Willis uses his real name, his real address, you can pick up the phone and talk to him, or show up at his shop and hang out, or call his lawyer. Hes not some huge corporate gear manufacturer that outsources offshore and your just another job ticket. The gear industry eats its own, Ive learned this lately.
I guarantee every single thing I have said regarding John Willis is true. I'm not the one spouting threats and accusations left and right like a teenager. In addition, I'm not the convicted felon. In fact, I couldn't be in my line of work if I had a criminal background and not have the interest of others at the forefront. It you would like to discuss this, I'd be more than happy to take a few minutes and speak to you about it. He certainly never took the time to provide me with his number when I asked, nor would he call me on my number I sent to him. I'm not some anonymous screen name with an agenda, I just want John Willis to be an adult about this and do the honest thing. On top of that, I feel others need to realize just what type of person he is before they order from him. I certainly wish I looked into him beforehand. He has my money, and I have nothing but accusations from him, this is a fact.
Don't believe me regarding the transaction? This is a $435 MO from 2006, exactly as I said before.
Why did I not go to the police? He told me on multiple occasions I would receive the order. For example: March 27, 2007 he said I would have my items "We will have some thing to you shortly." May 10, 2010 he said "We will get the packs cut Tuesday or Wednesday and hand them off to sewing." March 7, 2011 he said " If you needed chest rigs and pouches we could have them to you in days." and I told him I would take ANYTHING he had on hand. For a large part of the time I was so busy with school/work, I didn't even think about it until something I saw online reminded me of him. Why not drive to his shop and hang out? It certainly isn't worth the time or money in gas to get there. What about a lawyer? Small claims court is a waste of time and I'd probably only get half of my money back after paying for an attorney. My time is worth a lot more to me than the potential cash I'd receive from a settlement like that. So I figured bringing attention to his actions in a public forum would make him want to fix this, but it's apparent he has no desire to be an honest person with his past behavior and felony record.
Looking back I never would have even considered purchasing something from him.
