Funny, because I think the law says you have to truncate names to NOT indicate a gun shop. I.E. Viktor's Gun Shop becomes Viktor's G. Shop. ATF says for sure that there should be no markings on the box to indicate contents.
Anyway, I just shipped.. so let me tell you what I found for handguns, the rules vary for long guns:
USPS: NO handguns from mere "citizens"
FedEX: Handguns ONLY to FFL's and manufacturers. Overnight only.
UPS: Handguns ONLY to FFL's and manufacturers OR individuals in the same state.
Because UPS is the only one which lets me exercise all my legal rights, all my business goes to them. Be aware that only main hubs will touch ANY "hazardous cargo", which includes firearms.
