I have two WWII era 1911s I picked up in a trade just yesterday due to the buyer being short on cash. I need to sell them before I keep one or both and start a new project.
1.Colt 1946 civilian production 1911 - Mechanically excellent condition, good shooter. All original except for the rear target sight. The finish is blued, but worn and stained. Have it re-blued and you have an excellent old Colt 1911. Asking $900
2.Ithaca 1942-43 production 1911. These were government contract firearms. If you look it up, Ithaca did not have the ability to produce the entire gun at this time, and produced a short run of guns on unused WWI era Colt frames such as this one. All original except for the Grip Safety and target sights. Again, mechanically in excellent condition and a good shooter. Cosmetically a nice parkerized finish. Some wear, but I wouldn't touch this one as the finish is worn but well preserved. Marked US property. Asking $900
Or buy both for $1700.
Please feel free to make an offer, worst I can do is say no. I'm also looking for a new production Colt stainless series 70 1911 or Sig 228s are always a weekness. Gold and silver may work as well if FTF.
