I need to thin the herd to make room for a Valtro that should be arriving within a month. This is a Charles Daly EFS Stainless that I purchased a little over a year and a half ago. It was my first 1911 and it has served me quite well. It has a little over 950 rounds through it, and has not had a single problem since round 28 (my first and only malfunction) using American Eagle 230 grain ball. It came from the factory with an ambi-safety, extended slide release, beaver tail grip safety, & Commander style hammer.
I have had the following work done to it:
-Added a Wilson 18# recoil spring and a Wilson Full Length Guide Rod. (done by me)
-Installed a Chip McCormick light weight trigger and had pull lightened to 4 pounds. (done by a local Smith)
There are two noteable blemishes on the weapon. The first is the classic 1911 idiot mark. I managed to do it the first time I field stripped the gun. I tried to show it the best I can in the pictures blow. The second blemish is the mainspring housing. It came from the Factory like this (see picture below), but it is kind of ugly.
I'm in CA, but will ship out of state to a 01 FFL. I will also include all the original equipment that came with the gun (trigger, recoil spring, etc), and the warranty card that I never had a need to fill out.
The gun is available for $425 shipped. I may be interested in partial trades for Fal Items including building tools (vices, guages, etc).Pictures:
Note: I was unable to use a flash because of the glare caused by the stainless. However, I included one picture with the flash on to give you a good idea of the guns true color.
