The Colt Walker was the second revolver built by Sam Colt after his Patterson model. It was built at the request of Sam Walker for the then fledgling Texas Rangers (Dragoons). Only 1100 original Walkers were built for the Texas Rangers with an additional 100 for civilian sales.
This 150th anniversary issue Walker is identical to the original except newer technology. It has a 9" barrel, 2 7/16" cylinder, brass trigger guard, silver front sight, original O.L. Ormsby cylinder engraving of a battle scene between 15 Texas Rangers and a Comanche war party, case hardened frame, hammer, and loading rod. It has a gold inlaid Sam Colt signature, and A Company No. 1.
When Colt Blackpowder Arms introduced the 150th Anniversary issue of the Walker in 1997, they picked up where the last serial number produced left off, 1200, and started the run beginning with 201. This Walker is serial number 223.
The Walker accessories are also of the Colt signature series and have a gold inlaid Sam Colt signature on the bullet mold, percussion can, and nipple wrench.
Complete set $1400.00 + shipping in original boxes.
Since it is blackpowder, I believe no FFL is required, but please check your state laws before purchasing. If an FFL is required in your state, let me know and we can arrange transfer. In fact, just to be on the safe side, an FFL transfer would be the best way to go. This transfer fee may be $25.00 or so of which buyer would pay. http://webpages.charter.net/abisel/walker%20alone.jpghttp://webpages.charter.net/abisel/walker%20accesssories.jpghttp://webpages.charter.net/abisel/walker%20in%20case-1.jpg
