I machined this one up to bend my TAPCO flat (which it did, flawlessly), but my next builds are Yugos, so I don't need it anymore. I'm an aerospace CNC machinist by trade, so rest assured that this jig is built right. The inner part of the fixture is made according to the 555th print. The outer part of the fixture (the "box"), was made a bit, well, overkill. Most people that I've seen, used .250 angle for this, but mine's quite a bit stronger. Mine has 1.0x1.5 "walls" and .5x.75 "ends." There's NO WAY possible for this one to distort under the load of a press. So, the receiver ends up perfectly square, instead of having bowed sides that need hammered flat. Also, I designed "the box" to leave approx. .3 of the receiver above "the walls" to have plenty of room to hammer the top of the receiver rails over (which I've noticed that some designs don't allow for). I haven't actually weighed this beast yet, but if I had to guess, I'd say that it weighs roughly around 15# (I'll update this post when I weigh it).
I don't know how to post pics on this forum yet, but I'll gladly send pics to those who are interested.
