Blue finished Ruger Redhawk converted by Hamilton Bowen to chamber and fire the very potent .475 Linebaugh cartridge (it will also handle the more tame .480 Ruger cartridge). This conversion costs $1300 after the price of the original .44 Mag revolver.
Conversion consisted of
1) Overboring and re-rifling the 5-1/2 inch barrel
2) Changing out the 6 shot cylinder for a non-fluted 5 shot stainless cylinder (stronger lockup than a six-shot too)
3) Complete trigger upgrade (smoothest trigger in a double action revolver I have ever experienced)
4) Bowen adjustable sights
It is in excellent condition and has 100 rounds fired. It comes with the Hogue Monogrips as shown, but will also include the original Ruger wooden grips, a set of Pachmayr presentation grips and all of the brass for it. This revolver will handle ANY game in North America.
I just took it a week or so ago in trade but my weak wrist will not let me shoot it without experiencing severe pain.
shipped or any interesting combination of trades and cash adding up to that.
I can't handle the recoil of anything stronger than a .357 anymore, and this is way past that.
