Now I have a much different attitude when it comes to veteran members with lots of plus ones.
I did a trade in the EE the other week with a new guy. He had joined 1 month earlier.
With veteran members I would have sent it on and trusted the veteran member to do the same if he had good feedback. Since he didn't have any feedback I politely told him that I would ship his part after I received my part. He did and then we left each other feedback.
Not trying to scold the OP but I just wouldn't have done that.
My grandfather passed away around the same time that the check arrived. And to make things worse my parents where out of the country so I had to take my dads place when working out the details with his brother & sister. My brother was traveling on buisness & my parents where out of the country so I was the only family member on our side who could get away. I mailed it out before letting the check clear because I had a lot going on and wanted to get it out of the way so I could dedicate my time to more important things. Out of the thousands of positive transactions Ive had with members of this board I guess Ive gotten spoild. From now on I will only be accecpting check from people Ive worked with in the past.
I can understand why you shipped, due to the over-whelming burdens you had. I for one can give you a pass on not waiting for it to clear.
Had you waited, but forgot to inform F16fighter, he would have been here crying that you are a thief.
With that said, F16fighter
, make good on your bounced check.
Next time, thedukeryan, make sure you post in your ad that if you take a personal check that it must clear before you ship.
Good luck on getting your money back.
