The EOTech optic comes in two basic forms. The Tactical series (510) and the Military series (550). There are two different models in the Tactical series (511 and 512) and two in the Military series (551 and 552).
If the EOTech model ends in the number "1" then it uses type N batteries. If it ends in the number "2" it uses AA batteries. The AA battery models (512/552) have the longest battery life.
There are two main differences between the Tactical series and the Military series. The Military series has a raised rubber face plate and is NV compatible.
The Tactical series has neither of these options
. Tactical now has a raised rubber face plate also.
There are three different reticle styles available. The first is the "1" style which is a 1 MOA dot. The second style is the .A65 or 2D standard style. It features a 1 MOA center dot and a 65 MOA outer circle. The third style is the LL or Sage. It is designed for tear gas guns or other non-lethal weapons.
All EOTech's come with an integral mount that will attach to both Picatinny and Weaver style rails. It will also co-witness perfectly if mounted directly onto the flattop receiver of an M16/AR15. www.gandrtactical.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3
