Daniel Defense Handguards are machined from extruded aluminum, and provide four integral picatinny rails for mounting accessories. They are "free float" attached to the upper to protect the barrel from stress and indexed to the barrel nut to eliminate the possibility of "handguard spin". Our handguard ventilation holes and our gas tube cooling holes provide maximum cooling for continuous fire situations. how about the extended mid length handguards? What I'm looking for would be for a midlength rifle, but with an opening up front on top for a fsb or flipup gas block. is there such a thing?
