I have a used Colt Gold Cup in .45 that I bought recently with the intention of making it a project gun. Well I've changed my mind. The serial number dates it to the late 70's and its in nice shape HOWEVER, it needs a few new parts to make it reliable.
1. The extractor is worn-out and works maybe 50% of the time.
2. The hammer should be replaced as it appears to have been filed on and the angle is all out of whack. I wouldn't call it unsafe but needs to be addressed.
3. I replaced ALL the springs and added new rubber grips.
Selling it for exactly what I have in it and 1st "I'll take it" wins.
