I was shooting for a smoother, satin finish on this one. I squared the edges of the blade blank, including the spine, then used a belt sander to smooth the blade. (Blade was never more than warm to the touch). Problem is, I rounded the plunge line (where the ground part of the blade meets the flat handle area) over a bit on one side. Still perfectly useable, sheath and both sets of scales look unused. $35 TYD SPF
