Reminder to print out prepaid scan return labels.
Have 1/2 or dozen or so here with postage stamps. That’s fine I’ll send those back but I have zero liability on those if lost or damaged just like the scan ones. The whole reason for the change was getting me 100% out of the shipping. I played customer service for these companies for years when on the rare occasion they damaged or lost stuff I’m totally out of that now. Anything occurs in shipping now is between that carrier and customer |

Perhaps edit your original post to remove the part about shipping prices and update with the including a label part. I know that's been your practice for a little bit now.
Hoping to get a barreled action sent to you soon for a trim down! I won't forget my return label ![]() |

On Pirate you can click a button to schedule a pick-up. I hit that and selected the option that it will be in my mailbox. The mailman picked it up the next day. Super, super easy! |

Yeah I'm liking this new shipping setup. Saved me some $$$
![]() ![]() 2 questions I forgot in my IM On everything else I sent you turn around time was lightning quick, the 21a's take longer right? setup and such? Not in a hurry just curious. Also were you the one that threaded the inside vs the outside with adapter? |
|
|
I thread the outside then add adapter.
Ya turnaround is slower on these, 2-3 weeks. It’s 3 plus thread jobs in one so isn’t worth the time unless I spread it out. I can make 2-3 times the amount doing bolt Guns in the time it takes to do one, so they are more back burner jobs Originally Posted By tnertb: Yeah I'm liking this new shipping setup. In reference to shotgun barrels:
Do you offer internal threading for choke tubes on shotgun barrels? Do you offer shortening work on shotgun barrels? Do you offer bead sight placement? I've got a few I need cut down for approved stamps. Thanks |

Reminder:
If I quote trigger out, that means entire trigger assembly. Have had two Ruger americans come in with trigger assembly all in but just trigger out, that doesn't help me at all. Thats the same longer job as if trigger was still in . Its 50 more to do it with any trigger part or assembly in on cutting down a bolt action. Gonna charge 75 more on ones sent in that don't tell me about it, the extra 25 is gonna be the time to message you, email you etc |

New question, can the 16" 10/22 "compact" barrels with front sights be threaded? I don't have it in hand so I can't mic the barrel behind the base to see if it's thicker. Maybe you've had one in the past so you know if it's a problem or not to move the front sight back on the shorter barrel?

Okay thank you
Separate question: Muzzle threads on a virgin unassembled .30 barrel are 16x1 RH. Can that be turned down to something useful for a suppressor mount without shortening? 9/16x24 or 1/2x28 or 14mm? |

Thanks View Quote I’m still doing it for generic loose specs, no longer doing it for those that send cad drawings etc. Like if you say .625ish before gas, .700ish etc after good to go. Used to have people send drawings, tapers, tolerances etc no time for that kind of stuff anymore. Just message or email me if want it done. Generic specs it’s not that expensive and can be done quickly. Those cad type jobs are monster jobs, have bunch of layout work, letting it cool between passes etc |

View Quote While nice, I previously had a 12.5" carbine gas and it was a but violent, even when gassed down. I wanted to try something a little different and tend to do things to the best of my own drum. Plus, I LOVE my first gen NSR-11 that came from Johnny and a shorter barrel would not work. ![]() Funny enough, I asked Faxon a few years ago if they'd consider doing a run of 12.5" 5.56 barrels with midlength gas and they said they wouldn't be reliable. Six or so months later, they came out with midgas 11.5" barrels, haha! Plus,, looking at velocity tables, I won't go any shorter than 11.5" on my personal 5.56x45 barrels, not worth the loss in velocity and effectiveness, especially with heavier bullets. Not sure how it'll run without a can, but I don't really care since it'll be suppressed 99.99% of the time. That's just a tube for the moment, my can is a smaller diameter and I run a cover, haven't had an issue with the light cutting out. Will be swapping the Streamlight for a Cloud Defensive REIN pretty soon here. Also, I have long monkey arms for my height and this way I kind of avoid the shadowing of the can which is super annoying. On my longer barrels, it tend to run 15" rails, so the m this helps get the light further out and not in my way. Originally Posted By eastTXhunter: Badasss man!!!
